Rachel Russell, RVT
I have always had a love for animals. One summer when I was young, my dad found an injured mole at our farm and brought it in for me to see. I rushed it to the local animal shelter, but sadly it passed. At that moment I knew I wanted to work in the veterinary field. I did my high school co-op studies at the local animal shelter and applied to the Veterinary Assistant program at Seneca College. I completed the program with honours, as valedictorian of my class and went on to continue my studies in the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca.
I started here at Aurora Animal Clinic first as a co-op student and later came on part-time as an animal care assistant in 2016. Since then I have graduated from the Veterinary Technician program and began working full time as part of the technician team here at AAC. I am also the proud owner of a fun loving Boston Terrier, Jackson.
